In 1992 he won a scholarship that allowed him to travel to Zimbabwe. In its unique arrangement, space evoked the atmosphere of a chapel and invited comparisons to the Biblical Last Supper of Jesus and his 12 disciples. He permanently moved to Trinidad in 2005. Other renowned works include: ‘No Woman No Cry’ and ‘Captain S*** and the Legend of the Black Stars.’ He is still creating art from his bases in London and New York City. Ofili has also had numerous solo shows since the early 1990s, including at the Serpentine Gallery. The museum resisted Giuliani's demands, and the exhibition went on as planned.
