dvsn keep it going sample

Show me again dvsn - Samples, Covers and Remixes on WhoSampled. “For Us” is a power ballad at its prettiest. [Pre-Chorus 1: dvsn] Yeah, I know that I'm the one to blame Probably made you wanna turn away And I know I gotta make some changes ... Keep It Going 11. Toronto’s dvsn—singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85—makes music that should come with a warning sign: To hit play is to risk texting an ex or drowning in a pool of emotions you didn't even know you had.

Between the upbeat drums and the yearning falsetto, this is ironically a song that someone would cry in the club to. “As it turns out, the expectations I’d crafted going into this album couldn’t have been more off-base.”.

I should just mention now that the renaming of this record is what holds my favorite tracks. Sequencing has to be one of the album’s greatest strengths so far. Show you again Electric guitars are wailing gorgeously in the background and some soaring vocals to boot. Love the harmonizing on the outro. And there's a few things we ain't know that we Like dopamine to the brain It’s jarring, but I like it a lot. In this ballad, we have both Daley and PARTYNEXTDOOR asking for trust from their respective lovers — by trying to persuade the significant other that people outside of their relationship aren’t being truthful. “No Cryin” could have been plucked directly off HNDRXX. Honestly, I think we're both to blame I’ve never understood why male/female duets are so rare in modern R&B. Is this an entire bounce song? I love how subtle the tropical flourishes are. It’s so distracting I can’t focus on anything else. I’m not sure if now is the right time for dvsn to embrace the rolling hi-hat sound. Call me crazy but this song reminds me of early Disclosure. I just wish he could bring this same energy to his solo work. One listen and you won’t forget Kenny Mason. It’s jarring, but I like it a lot.

Something that separates this 16-track project from their previous work, is that this is the first time the duo has decided to include features in the album. On A Muse In Her Feelings, it’s clear the duo made a concerted effort to position him as the star of the show. Another song that feels more like dvsn are the featured guests rather than the star of the show, but it’s hard to complain about a song this pleasant. Polo G, for all the demons he’s faced on the streets and in his mind, is one step closer to securing his legacy. I'ma show you

Listen to the album below and let us know your thoughts. We can add dvsn to the list of artists who are releasing new music amid the COVID-19 crisis. Buju Banton sounds great, too. Excellent song. Is that some tasteful vocoder I hear on the chorus? [Verse 2: Shantel May] I'ma show you

And if you think there's another that is better And we're gonna have to make some changes [Pre-Chorus 1: dvsn] I'ma show you (Show you) dvsn, much like every famous musician, are missing their pre-fame friendships. His voice is always a welcome addition.

[Chorus: dvsn] Dvsn – Dangerous City Lyrics [feat. When Daley sings of yearning, you get the sense he feels it with every fiber of his being. “Courtside” reminds me of something Jhené Aiko and Big Sean would have put on their Twenty88 project. As always, the format for this 1-listen review is standard: no pausing, no rewinding. Probably made you wanna turn away Who would’ve known La Rosalía and Daddy Yankee would sound so fire together?! [Chorus: dvsn & Shantel May] I know it hurts With that being said, “Greedy” being one of them. It’s not in PARTYNEXTDOOR’s best interests to have to follow Daley so closely, though. Show you again Listening to Popcaan in a quarantine feels like watching beach volleyball in the Antarctic. To clarify, this was years before they’d adopted the name dvsn and inked a contract with Drake’s OVO Sound record label. I get the sense I may be surprised to learn one day that I know all the lyrics.

Who are these people who think the club is an appropriate setting for emotional catharsis? Side-by-side like this, Daley’s technical ability underscores the limitations in PND’s vocal range. Show you again Running out of words to say Discover Music through Samples, Cover Songs and Remixes Dig deeper into music by discovering direct connections among over 710,000 songs and 232,000 artists, from Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B via Electronic / Dance through to Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Jazz, Classical and beyond.

Overall, though, the album is a resounding success. The lyrics had be up until the “No cryin’ in the club, girl.” Sorry, but I don’t think anyone has a say on where and where it is not appropriate for people to express their emotions. Show you again What is it about R&B albums and making you feel like you’re eavesdropping on someone’s therapy session? Nineteen85 has noticeably scaled back the ambitiousness of his compositions all across this album, and it’s a blessing and a curse. dvsn is giving us an entire upbeat song with “Keep It Going.” It’s definitely different and contrasting to the rest of the album, but I like it. He’s gliding across this song like the beat is greased with coconut oil. True to its featured guest, “Friends” is chock-full of supple vocal runs and dynamic melodies. The way this song fades out gradually marks a good end to the record. The instrumental outro with the guitar solo is the perfect note to end on. A transition so smooth, I hardly noticed it happened. And now the bounce drums are back! But we don't deserve this

In a departure from a lot of the music on their last release, Daley’s voice is the clear star of the show.

Against all the odds, they left an impression on me. The rising Puerto Rican artist joins forces with Colombian superstar J Balvin. Committed to anything more than me I must say that the ending the album is where most of my favorites off this full body of work can be found. I mean, Snoh Aalegra never fails us. Wide awake Talking in aspect of a relationship, you can truly hear and feel each individual confession of what probably went wrong in this breakup, only to realize their love is stronger than anything and i’m going to prove it going forward. I mean, we are human, some stronger than others, some more emotional than others. Alright, this is swelling into something a lot larger.

We got you!

To be honest, I’m not the biggest PND fan, but I really like his take on this song. Paid the cab that drove you away The filter on Daley’s vocals during the chorus is adding a cool texture.

Daley sounds genuinely heartfelt on the chorus. This marks the first collaboration between Snoh and dvsn and features a sample of Usher’s “Nice & Slow.” I am loving this song. And sometimes I wanna turn away I love R&B Future. I tried my best, I'm not perfect

But, I’m not complaining I think this is a great track to get the album just about ready to wrap up. Final (First Listen) Thoughts on dvsn’s A Muse In Her Feelings: As it turns out, the expectations I’d crafted going into this album couldn’t have been more off-base.

In this collaborative we once again witness how limitless Daley’s falsetto is. Built a bridge In my take, this song is about missing someone no longer present in your life and still wishing them the best — as well as feeling reminiscent of former friendships. An unexpectedly cool new addition to the dvsn arsenal. Show you again Show you again Not to mention, Snoh’s – Ugh, those feels again has a lot of similarities we can find on a dvsn project. The first half of this album is heavy with the features so it’s refreshing to hear Daley’s vocals shining once again a little over halfway through. Strong opener.

Nineteen85 dialed down his ambitiousness on his compositions throughout the album — which leaves Daley filling in the vacant spaces with his amazing vocals. Yet again, the transition between this song and the next, just flows better than a lot of people’s energies lately. [Verse 1: dvsn] Honestly, I love R&B Future.

An unabashed love song that wouldn’t have sounded out of place on Morning After. Christ, this changeup is beautiful.

She’s picking up right where she left off on Over It. I can already picture myself vibing to this song at a beach somewhere in LA with a group of close friends as we’re sippin’ on either some White Claws or margaritas made by yours truly. 'Cause if you think I don't love you On this track, dvsn shows us they can mix the likes of pop with their signature R&B style. If I’d heard this on Justin Bieber’s latest album, it would have fit the aesthetic perfectly.

As if to further drive this home, Nineteen85 just added an obvious homage to the drum fill from Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight.” As the album’s final song, “Again” is having a hard time following “For Us.” Maybe the first (and only) sequencing misstep on the entire album. Another favorite. I'ma show you A very obvious sample of Usher’s “Nice & Slow.” I like the original so much that I can already tell it’s going to be hard getting my head around “Between Us.” Objectively, I’d love this if it didn’t remind me so much of a superior song. Nevertheless, Buju Banton sounds great too — the moment his strong baritone meets Daley’s falsetto chorus is nothing short of exceptional. Back in 2010, I was one of 12 people (or thereabouts) who watched dvsn open for the rapper Shaun Boothe, free of charge, at a poorly promoted show organized by my alma mater, The University of Waterloo. I know I’m not the intended audience for this stripper anthem, but I’m loving it regardless. The production is complementing his voice as opposed to vise versa. “Keep It Going” strikes me as something that would’ve been on Disclosure’s first album. The song is reminiscent of the early 2000s. After listening to the album a couple of times (already, I know), here is my review. Never had more to say Not exactly the most original source material, but he’s singing the hell out of it. Daley is serenading a stripper named Flawless. “Keep It Going” strikes me as something that would’ve been on Disclosure’s first album. Just my gut reactions in real-time. The raspy, childish tone she affects is extremely hit or miss, and it’s not working in this instance. Bouncy warm-weather music that makes me sad that we’re, in all likelihood, going to miss Toronto’s few yearly months of good weather. This one is also on my favorites off this album. And just how effortlessly we were introduced to “Outlandish,” the song smoothly converts into an upbeat bounce at the end, cleverly transitioning to the next song. Holy shit, Snoh Aalegra bodied this. [Post-Chorus: dvsn & Shantel May] Daley is crooning over a vintage soul sample, and Nineteen85 has inhabited the spirit of Just Blaze. This is such a strong, passionate ballad. Is that Ty Dolla $ign, I hear?
